SHIPPING POLICY
At Safiya Alexandrites, we are committed to delivering your fine jewelry safely, securely, and as quickly as possible.
Every piece undergoes a thorough quality inspection before shipment and is carefully packaged to ensure its protection during transit.
We provide complimentary insured shipping to all our supported shipping destinations, regardless of the order value.
SHIPPING WITHIN THE UNITED STATES
We offer complimentary FedEx 2-Day insured shipping within the United States.
In general, orders for available, ready-to-ship jewelry are delivered within approximately 1–3 business days after dispatch.
Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays. We aim to dispatch available jewelry as promptly as possible, subject to payment verification, quality inspection, and shipping arrangements.
Please note that ring resizing, additional customization, or special requests may require additional processing time.
If we anticipate a significant delay, we will notify you accordingly.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
Safiya Alexandrites offers complimentary insured international shipping to our supported destinations worldwide.
All jewelry is shipped from Los Angeles, California, USA.
International orders are dispatched using FedEx or UPS, with shipment insurance arranged through Parcel Pro.
Delivery times vary depending on the destination, customs clearance, local delivery arrangements, and other circumstances beyond our control.
International delivery times are not the same as our complimentary US 2-Day shipping service.
Every international shipment is securely packaged and insured for its declared value.
SHIPPING TO JAPAN
We are pleased to offer Japanese customers complimentary insured international shipping from Los Angeles to Japan.
Our Japanese shipping arrangements include:

Import Duties and Taxes for Japan
For orders shipped to Japan, applicable import duties and taxes are calculated and collected during checkout.
Your order will be shipped under Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) arrangements, meaning the applicable import charges are handled in advance.
Japanese customers will not be required to pay additional import duties or import consumption taxes upon delivery.
If a shipping carrier unexpectedly requests payment of import duties or taxes upon delivery, please contact us before making any payment.
Safiya Alexandrites will resolve the matter with the shipping provider and cover any applicable import charges that should have been prepaid.
We want our Japanese customers to enjoy a transparent purchasing experience without unexpected import charges.
Delivery Times to Japan
Ready-to-ship jewelry is dispatched from Los Angeles after payment verification and final quality inspection.
International transit and customs clearance times may vary.
We will provide shipment tracking information once your order has been dispatched.
Ring resizing or other modifications may require additional processing time before shipment.
Local Support and Returns in Japan
Japanese customers may contact our customer service team for assistance with purchases, shipping, and custom jewelry inquiries.
We also work with an affiliated office in Tokyo to coordinate local customer assistance and domestic returns.
Please note that jewelry is ordinarily shipped from Los Angeles rather than from local inventory in Japan.
Eligible purchases delivered to Japan qualify for our complimentary 14-day return policy, including prepaid insured domestic return shipping to our designated Tokyo return-handling office.
For eligible returns, we refund the full amount paid to Safiya Alexandrites at checkout, including import duties and taxes collected as part of the order, subject to our Return and Refund Policy.
CUSTOM-MADE JEWELRY
Custom-made and special-order jewelry generally requires approximately 4–5 weeks of production after final design confirmation.
Once production is complete, the jewelry undergoes quality inspection before shipment.
Shipping and international transit times are additional to the production period.
If a custom order requires a longer production period, we will inform you accordingly.
TRACKING INFORMATION
All shipments include tracking information.
Once your order has been dispatched, we will email you the tracking number and relevant shipping details.
Please allow approximately one business day for tracking information to become available through the carrier's system.
If your tracking information does not update or your package has not arrived within the expected delivery period, please contact our customer service team for assistance.
SHIPPING FEES
COMPLIMENTARY INSURED SHIPPING
Safiya Alexandrites provides complimentary insured shipping to all supported destinations, regardless of the order value.
All jewelry is securely packaged and insured during transit.
There is no minimum purchase requirement to qualify for complimentary shipping.
SHIPPING METHODS AND SECURITY
For the protection of our customers and their valuable jewelry, Safiya Alexandrites follows strict shipping procedures.

Use FedEx or UPS for secure domestic and international delivery, as applicable.

Do not ship to PO Box addresses.

Allow alternative shipping addresses, subject to payment verification and security checks.
For credit card purchases, we recommend using a shipping address associated with your payment information whenever possible.
Alternative shipping addresses may be accepted following verification.
For certain shipments, delivery to an authorized carrier collection location may be arranged upon request, subject to carrier availability and security requirements.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
Import duties, VAT, consumption taxes, and other import-related charges vary depending on the destination country.
For destinations where Safiya Alexandrites collects applicable import duties and taxes at checkout and arranges prepaid-duty delivery, customers will not be required to pay those same charges again upon delivery.
For other international destinations, import duties, taxes, and related charges may be payable by the recipient unless otherwise stated during checkout or agreed in writing.
We recommend reviewing the total amount displayed at checkout and contacting us before placing your order if you have questions about international import charges.
CUSTOMS
All jewelry is shipped from the United States.
International shipments are subject to the customs regulations of the destination country.
Customs clearance procedures and processing times may vary.
Safiya Alexandrites declares shipments accurately and in accordance with applicable customs requirements.
We cannot undervalue merchandise or falsely declare purchased jewelry as a gift.
For Japanese orders, we arrange DDP shipping and take responsibility for applicable import duties and taxes as described in the Japan shipping section above.
We work closely with our shipping partners to minimize customs-related delays whenever possible.
INCORRECT SHIPPING ADDRESSES AND UNDELIVERABLE PACKAGES
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete shipping information when placing an order.
If a shipment is returned because of an incorrect address, an unsuccessful delivery attempt, or failure to collect the package, additional shipping charges may apply.
Any applicable charges will be communicated before arranging reshipment.
This does not affect customers' rights in cases where delivery problems result from an error by Safiya Alexandrites or its shipping partners.
