Hoping this review helps others who are not located within driving distance of the store. I had been looking at alexandrites after discovering it is the birthstone of a family member. I searched a few online retailers and decided Safiya had the best value considering the size of the natural stones in their jewelry. I was interested in a ring, so I looked at those and narrowed it down to a couple options. I reached out via email and spoke with Niel, and ultimately decided on the Mini Refined Beauty. Production time was exactly as estimated, and shipping was incredibly fast considering it went all the way across the country. After wearing the ring for a weekend, I am thoroughly impressed! The color variation in different lighting is quite fascinating. In natural light, the stone produces a rich, dark greenish-blue color. In lamp light, it produces a dark purple color. In bright fluorescent light (inside big stores) and in mixed light settings, I see all of those colors! Considering emeralds and amethysts are my favorites, I could not be more thrilled with this piece! Further, the band itself is so wonderfully polished, I can see my reflection in it. I absolutely recommend this stone and this retailer; you will not be disappointed.
