I worked with Neil over the course of 9 months in 2021 and purchased a custom engagement ring (now, the 'Royalty - Platinum Alexandrite Ring'). From initial inquiry to product delivery, the experience was fantastic. The Alexandrite gem and ring design completely exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Safiya. The process started with an initial visit to their office in Los Angeles to see examples of their gems and rings. Shortly after, I put in a request for a gem of a specific size and was fortunate Neil was able to obtain one. We met again so that I could see it prior to starting the design process. I provided design inspiration for the creation of the custom ring and received CAD models of multiple proposed design options. I was able to provide feedback and request numerous design iterations; the Safiya team was quick to modify the design to include every detail I requested. Neil accommodated my busy schedule in order for me to collect the ring. The end product was spectacular: the design of the ring was just as I wanted, the gem has exceptional color change and clarity, and my fiancé loves it. Neil is friendly, knowledgeable, responsive, and accommodating. The ring was a great price considering the rarity of the gem, the quality of the ring, and the custom design. Multiple payment options were offered to make payment easy and we received both GIA and Gubelin authenticity certifications.
